Rules

 

 

Officials (refereetables) for timing and scoring will be announced through a schedule before the tournament va email and on this website. Every team will have to do their duty on friday & saturday. Teams that do not show up in time without offering a valid explanation and solution to the LOC, before the game, will pay 50 €. If one team is missing 10 minutes after official start of the game, the other team win 20 points to 0 points. Teams that don’t show up for their refereetable-job will pay 25 euros. Deposit will be used to fund the penalty. All teams with Cupcard Highshool will also pay a deposit of 100€ to avoid troubles in their accommodations (Lose keys or e.g.). This way we want to guarantee a trouble-free tournament.

 

The teaching of so-called life skills such as teamwork, respect for the opponent

are main part of Eastercup-Philosophy. Therefore each team should play fair!!!!

 

 

Eastercup is a tournament organized for kids from kids, we are not the Olympic World Games, please notice. "No Chances for Racism" + Lay-Ups only with left", crew takes immediate action against any infringement of these rights.

 

 

Some little things provided we play with official FIBA rules:

 

  1. 4 quarters, 8 minutes, passing time (not stopped), final two minutes of fourth quarter and last minute of each overtime (only during finals) are stopped as well as each timeout + periodbreaks.
  2. Each team gets 3 timeouts, 1 for the first half and 2 for the second half. Not used timeout expire at halftime.
  3. 3 minute break at halftime, 1 minute break between quarters, Timeouts around 50 seconds, rhythm of gameschedule all 50/55 minutes.
  4. Boys U13 + Boys U14 use 6 size balls. U10 Mix will be played about 4 on 4 games, U11 Mixed Mini decision up to the coaches if 4 on 4 or 5 on 5, U12 Mixed Mini will be played 5 on 5.
  5. Mixed Mini U10/ U11 / U12 can use size 5 balls, normal free throw distance and regular 3-point-line as prescribed. The height of the baskets is normal, 305 cm. Actually we don`t use Easy Basket-Version.
  6. Girls U13 / U14 / U16 / U20 / U22/ Ladies and 3on3 FIBA competitions using 6 balls size.
  7. Boys U15 / U16 / U18 / U20 / U22 / Men / Mixed / Refugee / University and EWBCO-Wheelchair using 7 size balls.
  8. Mixed Mini U10-U12 competitions should just have fun, referees have the discretion to omit rules within reasonable bounds.
  9. Substitution at the halfcourtline on to fly - between the half and the line of the bench- the old player must leave the court before the new player enters, offenses may be punished with a technical foul for the team bench.
  10. With 4th personal foul a player is fouled out, from 6th Teamfoul each foul causes freethrows (penalty mark)
  11. A draw after 4 quarter:

@Group-Stage: Leads to a Sudden-Death. First Basket wins. Sudden-Death starts with a jumpball, during Sudden-Death there will be no possession arrow anymore, each jumpball situation leads to a jumpball.

@Playoff/Playdown: 2 Minute Overtime, overtime starts with a jumpball, during overtime there will be no possession arrow anymore, each jumpball situation leads to a jumpball. There is 1 extra timeout of 30 seconds for each coach. Timeouts of second half can't be used in overtime. A draw after first overtime leads to another overtime until one team wins.

  1. Hometeam named in the schedule changes the uniforms.
  2. Fee for protesting is 50 €. Coach must sign protest in between 10 minutes after the game on the gamesheet and explain immediately (in between 30 min) at/to office. In case of rejection the money will not be disbursed.
  3. Zone-Defense is allowed starting at the age of U14 Boys/Girls.
  4. At ALL COMPETITIONS: No fullcourt-press after 25 points difference, fair-play-rule!!! Halfcourt Defense allowed only at U10/U11 Mini Mixed categories.
  5. Team rosters should be left no later than 15 minutes before game, time for warmup will not be guaranteed. 10 minutes after games starting time with only one team on the court, the present team wins this match 20:0.
  6. 24 seconds will not be stopped, referee says 5 FOR SHOOTING and counts until 5,4,3,2,1 if a team tries to control the shotclocktime.
  7. Having same points after group stage (for example best third place), we will take a look at the match against each other first and then for the made baskets. If these 2 cases do not decide, we will flip a coin.
  8. U10-U12 Mini Mixed categories and 3on3 and Refugee-Competition may have only 1 referee for each game.
  9. EWBCO-Wheelchair:

Some little things provided we play with Official EWBCO Wheelchair Rules:

Make sure to send only 14,5 points on the court everytime. Please note the points on/besides the sheet before the game is starting. Points are 1,0 - 4,5! If, at any time during a game, a team exceeds the 14,5-point limit, a technical foul will be charged to the coach with a correction in the line-up to be made at the same time. Final during All-Star-Saturday-Night-Event on 31st of March. Tournament ends 31st of March 2018 after final, teams can leave after breakfast on 1st of April.   1. 3on3 FIBA:

Some little things provided we play with official FIBA 3on3 rules:

There must be at least one girl on the court at each team all the time(only at U18 level).

3on3 uses special FIBA 3on3 Ball size 6(yellow and a little bit heavier)

3on3 teams need to bring 2 colors of uniforms or reversible-jerseys

1 basket on 1 half-court.

2 teams of 3 players and up to 1 substitute per team

12-seconds shot-clock

1st team to reach 21 points or best after 15 minutes win(exception)

Sign in for Adults or U18 Mix competition(minimum 1 girl on the court @ U18 competition)

Minimum 5 games during tournament

Arrival 29th of March, departure 1st of April in the evening after final or 2nd of April after breakfast

120 € fee without reversible-jerseys, 200 € fee including reversible-jerseys x 4 + Cupcard Berlin 16 € per person including 3 meals for lunch

  1. Mixed & University-Competitions:

There must be at least one girl on the court at every team all the time. Final during All-Star-Saturday-Night-Event on 31st of March.

It's a regular foul if a man blocks a girl. Arrival 29th of March, departure 1st of April after breakfast. Maximum 10 players per team, age & gender open to all, maximum 8 spots at tournament 2018.

  1. Refugee-Competition:

There must be at least three refugees on the court at every team all the time, players should just have fun, referees have the discretion to omit rules within reasonable bounds. Arrival 29th of March, departure 1st of April in the evening after final or 2nd of April after breakfast. Please choose Cupcard Berlin here for 16 € per person. Age & gender open to all.
