These ladies run the office this year. Office is as always located at Court 1 Alt-Moabit 10. If you accommodate at Cupcard Highschool, earliest time to get access to the accommodations is about 16.00/17.00.
Finally we got a new team from Poland, welcome Tecza Leszno. They are filling the GU18 spot for the PO Semifinals! We wish all teams, referees, volungteers and so on a stressfree trip to Berlin!

Der Bezirksstadtrat für Jugend, Familie und Gesundheit, Christoph Keller, informiert:
Unter der Schirmpatenschaft von Bezirksstadtrat Christoph Keller, Louis Kleemeyer (Mitorganisator der Special Olympic World Games) und Ulrich Davids (Stadtrat a.D. und Ehrenmitglied der BC Lions) findet vom 6. bis zum 10. April 2023 der International Eastercup statt. Der Kiezverein BC Lions Moabit 21, lädt bereits zum zehnten Mal in Folge Basketballer*innen aus aller Welt nach Moabit ein. In diesem Jahr werden minimum 1.200 Teilnehmende aus mehr als 25 Nationen, verteilt über vier Kontinente, erwartet. Mit „Deportivo Conception“ aus Chile, reist erstmal auch ein Team aus Südamerika an.
Die drei Schirmpaten eröffnen das Turnier – eins der größten in ganz Europa – am 6. April um 18.30 Uhr der Sporthalle des OSZ Banken und Versicherungen, Alt-Moabit 10. Sportbegeisterte und Interessierte sind dazu herzlich eingeladen.
Jugendstadtrat Christoph Keller: „Sport verbindet – über Grenzen und Ozeane hinweg. Wenn Sportler*innen aus aller Welt, mit und ohne Behinderung, zusammenkommen, dann geht es in erster Linie natürlich um den Spaß am Spiel. Wir senden damit aber gleichzeitig ein deutliches Zeichen in einer Zeit, in der wir zunehmend mit internationalen Konflikten, Blockbildung und Abschottung konfrontiert sind. Ich freue mich sehr darüber, dass mit dem International Eastercup unser vielfältiger Bezirk Mitte für ein paar Tage noch bunter wird. Und ich danke den vielen Beteiligten, die dieses Turnier Jahr für Jahr möglich machen.“
In the next days we`ll publish the tournament-magazine and all courts including pictures of the entry to the specific playgrounds(1-10). Court 9 isn`t in use at the moment. Office is as usual @Court 1(15.00-23.59). All teams are now able to have a look for the name of their accommodation in their team-account-registration(here is an example).
Just 12 days left – time flies by.Feel free to join the Coaches-Clinic with FIBA-Coach @nikola.kuga on 9️⃣th of April in the eve. Coaches will get an extension of their license in 🇩🇪.🆒🆒🆒
The club behind the scenes, @bclionsmoabit, turned inclusive over the last 2 years. That’s why we offer a 3×3 wheelchair tourney on 🐣 sunday. It’s open for everybody, join it‼️✅‼️

the registration-deadline passed on 15th of March. 3 teams jumped with a late-night-call into the schedule. We are working on the schedule now. You`ll gonna see it on our webiste end of March. 137 teams within around 80 referees and 110 volunteers are coming from around 30 different nations in 20 different competitions, amazing!
We updated the rules for 2023 as well–> https://eastercup-moabit.de/rules/. The https://sportjugend-berlin.de/aktuelles/ is supporting our kidsproject with trophies & medals for all our teams. We are really thankful! Additional the political parties of CDU/SPD/Linke are donating us trophies too, thank you so much!
Information for parents: – Parents are able to buy public transport tickets & ALBA Tickets until 8th of April @office – We still got some less single/doublebeds at Hotel Tiergarten – To buy additional meal-packages at our catering-arena is possible too
Its a special honor for us to host a team more than 10 days. This club is called Club Deportivo Aleman Concepción and arriving with 15 people at all - the longest trip ever in Eastercup-History! The team from Chile stays from 3rd to 13th of April in beautiful Berlin-Moabit and is located @AmstelHostel.
At the beginning of the week we`ll send out general information by mail – we call it „good to know“ about the kidsproject INTERNATIONAL EASTERCUP BERLIN-MOABIT! The schedule comes up end of march!
Molten will be our official gameball again. Special thx to www.molten.de. At the moment we are soldout – last 30 beds are Cupcard College are gone. Teams are only able to register with own accommodation or Cupcard Berlin. We hope to provide better news in the upcoming week. Maybe we are able to give 18 beds @Cupcard College from 7th to 10th of April.
Furthermore we are happy to set down an international youthcamp after the Eastercupdays from 11-14th of April.
Cupcard College is back since mid of January. We only have around 30 beds left there, be quick. We also like to give a big thank you for https://www.berliner-sparkasse.de/de/home.html as they hook us up for the 3rd time in a row, awesome! Furthermore BULGARIA and SERBIA are representing their countries on the Eastercup this year! Catering will take place @https://www.moabiter-grundschule.de/. Thank you so much to the leader of the school Ms Zeibig!
We are also happy to publish to give more space @Cupcard Highschool & NBA. Please register your teams up to 15th of March. There are some thoughts to close the online-registration platform earlier on this special 10th annual!
https://www.moabit-hilft.com/ is known for social and human help. Since end of the year 2022 we finalized an offical partnership. They are now able to provide us with their location to sleep over the Eastercupdays(Cupcard Highschool). The room is located at Turmstraße and has a capacity for around 30 people. So bigger teams/clubs are able to use this accommodation, amazing!
