Rules

 

 

Officials (refereetables) for timing and scoring will be announced through a schedule before the tournament. Every team will have to do their duty. Teams that do not show up in time without offering a valid explanation and solution to the LOC, before the game, will pay 50 €. If one team is missing 10 minutes after official start of the game, the other team win 20 points to 0 points. Teams that don’t show up for their refereetable-job will pay 25 euros. Deposit will be used to fund the penalty. All teams with Cupcard Highshool will also pay a deposit of 100€ to avoid troubles in their accommodation (Lose keys or e.g.). This way we want to guarantee a trouble-free tournament.

 

The teaching of so-called life skills such as teamwork, respect for the opponent

are main part of Eastercup philosophy. Therefor each team should play fair!

 

 

Eastercup is a tournament organized for kids from kids, we are not the Olympic World Games, please notice. No Chances for Racism, crew takes immediate action against any infringement of these rights.

 

 

Some little things provided we play with official FIBA rules:

 

  1. 4 quarters, 8 minutes, passing time (not stopped), final two minutes of fourth quarter and last minute of each overtime (only during finals) are stopped as well as each timeout.
  2. Each team get 3 timeouts, 1 for the first half and 2 for the second half. Not used timeout expire at halftime.
  3. 3 minute break at halftime, 1 minute break between quarters, Timeouts around 50 seconds
  4. Boys U10 / U11 / U12 / U14 use 6 size balls,
  5. U10/ U11 / U12 can use size 5 balls, normal free throw distance and regular 3-point-line as prescribed. The height of the baskets is normal, 305 cm.
  6. Girls U13 / U15 / U17 / U19 / Ladies and 3on3 competiton use size 6 balls
  7. U16/U18/U20/U22/Men/Mixed and Wheelchair use 7 size balls
  8. U10-U12 -Categories should just have fun, referees have the discretion to omit rules within reasonable bounds.
  9. Substitution at the halfcourtline on to fly - between the half and the line of the bench- the old player must leave the court before the new player enters, offenses may be punished with a technical foul for the team bench.
  10. With 4 Fouls a Player is fouled out, from 6th Teamfoul each foul causes freethrows (penalty mark)
  11. A draw after 4 quarter:

@Group-Stage: lead to a Sudden Death. First Basket wins. Sudden Death starts with a jumpball, during Sudden Death there will be no possession arrow anymore, each jumpball situation lead to a jumpball.

@Playoff/Playdown: 2 Minute Overtime, Overtime starts with a jumpball, during Overtime there will be no possession arrow anymore, each jumpball situation lead to a jumpball. There is 1 extra timeout of 30 seconds for each coach. Timeouts of second half can't be used in overtime. A draw after overtime lead to another overtime until one team wins.

  1. Hometeam named in the schedule changes the uniforms
  2. Fee for protesting is 50 €. Coach must sign protest in between 10 minutes after the game on the gamesheet and explain immediately (in between 30 min) at office. In case of rejection the money will not be disbursed.
  3. Zone defense is allowed U14/U15/U16/U17/U18/U19/U20/U22/Men/Ladies/Wheelchair/Mixed/3on3
  4. At all youth categories: No fullcourt-press after 25 points difference
  5. Team Rosters should be left no later than 15 minutes before game, time for warmup will not be guaranteed. 10 minutes after games starting time with only one team on the court, the present team wins this match 20:0.
  6. 24 seconds will not be stopped, referee says 5 FOR SHOOTING and counts until 5 if a team tries to control the shotclocktime.
  7. Having same points after group stage (for example best third place), we will take a look at the match against each other first and then for the made baskets. If these 2 cases do not deside, we will flip a coin.
  8. U10-U12 Categories and 3on3 and Refugee-Competition may have only 1 referee for each game
  9. Wheelchair:

some little things provided we play with official IWBF Wheelchair rules:

Make sure to send only 14,5 points on the court everytime. Please note the points on the sheet before the game is starting. Points are 1,0 - 4,5! If, at any time during a game, a team exceeds the 14,5-point limit, a technical foul will be charged to the coach with a correction in the line-up to be made at the same time.

  1. 3on3:

some little things provided we play with official FIBA 3on3 rules:

There must be at least one girl on the court at efree team all the time.

3on3 uses special FIBA 3on3 balls size 6

3on3 teams need to bring 2 colors or turnable jerseys

1 basket on 1 half-court

2 teams of 3 players and up to 1 substitute per team

12-seconds shot-clock

1st team to reach 21 points or best after 10 minutes win

  1. Mixed:

There must be at least one girl on the court at everyteam all the time.

It's a regular foul if a man blocks a girl.

  1. Refugee-Competition:

There must be at least three refugees on the court at every team all the time, players should just have fun, referees have the discretion to omit rules within reasonable bounds.
